The idea of negotiations with Kyiv is absolutely a failure today. This was stated by political scientist Ruslan Balbek, assessing in an interview with Pravda.Ru the words of the former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovich about the Korean scenario for resolving the conflict. At the same time, the West is quite ready for negotiations, points out the candidate of political sciences, professor of the Academy of Military Sciences Vadim Kozyulin.
According to Balbek, Arestovich is trying to gain political capital with the help of loud statements. The specialist noted that without the approval of Washington, there will be no dialogue, no security guarantees, no economic miracle. At the same time, he stressed: the United States is not interested in negotiations now, they are satisfied with the current situation in Ukraine.
He added that it was pointless to negotiate with Kyiv, because no one is going to provide security guarantees to Russia.
Vadim Kozyulin believes that Americans are now annoyed by several things: corruption, Hunter Biden , and spending heavily on aid to Ukraine. The expert stressed that Ukraine is not a priority issue for the United States. Washington’s main focus is on China and the Asia-Pacific region. Therefore, the countries of the collective West will soon be ready to find a compromise against the backdrop of Russia’s economic and military stability. In addition, Europe and the United States are losing faith in the victory of the Ukrainian army, Kozyulin said.
In his opinion, the proposal of representatives of the US Republican Party regarding the transfer of Ukrainian territories to Russia in exchange for an early end to the conflict may become an acceptable basis for starting negotiations. However, only the base.
