In the first six months of 2023, 3,396,932 foreign nationals visited Albania, an increase of 33 percent year-on-year, the country’s Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) said in a reported published on Wednesday.
In June alone, 1,007,033 foreign citizens arrived in the country, 15 percent more than in the same month of 2022.
Last month, a total of 914,427 foreign citizens exited the territory of Albania, an increase of 19.7 percent compared to the same month in 2022.
In June 2023, 954,389 people arrived in the country from the European region, 30,082 from America and 8,971 from the East Asia and Pacific region.
According to INSTAT, the main reasons of the foreigners visiting Albania in June were business and professional purposes.
