The Balkan championship and the G1 Balkan Cup taekwondo tournament were held in Sarajevo in the past two days, where the Sarajevo Canton team won the first team place, and the Makaš sisters won new medals.
Dzejla Makaš took first place in the category of senior women -46 kg with victories in the semi-finals against the representatives of Turkey and France, while Ajla Makaš won second place in the category of junior women -44 kg.
Yesterday, the Makaš sisters, members of the Novi Grad Sarajevo Taekwondo Club, won gold medals as part of the competition at the Balkan Championship, thus continuing their streak of great results.
Ada Avdagić also won gold today, and the Sarajevo Canton team won 5 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.
In addition to the medals, this tournament was important because it is a G category tournament, which gives points for placing in both the world and the Olympic ranking list.
Let’s remind you, the taekwondo national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina recorded great results at the Balkan Championship in Sarajevo and took the epithet of the champions of the Balkans.
