Patricia Scotland– the Secretary General of the Commonwealth, welcomed the Ambassador of Slovenia to the UK, Simona Leskovar, to Marlborough House last week.
Patricia Scotland took to Facebook to share glimpses of the meeting. She said that the meeting featured discussions on matters of concern related the technology and connectivity. She expressed pleasure in meeting with the Ambassador and stated, “Pleased to welcome the Ambassador of Slovenia to the UK, Simona Leskovar, to Marlborough House last week.”
CSG Patricia Scotland also discussed several areas of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation. She congratulated her on’s election to the UN Security Council, alongside Commonwealth members. She also reiterated the commitment of the Commonwealth to strengthen the countries by deepening the technological aspects of these countries.
Patricia Scotland said that the meeting also put light on the significance of Artificial Intelligence and digital tech. She said, “I congratulated her on’s election to the UN Security Council, alongside Commonwealth members. We discussed areas of potential collaboration in AI and digital tech.”
Several technological aspects, such as AI and easy access to the countries for connectivity, were also become part of the CSG Patricia Scotland. She said that these meetings will also help in enhancing the relations between the commonwealth countries.
Along with that, CSG Scotland also met with Pakistan’s Commerce Minister, Syed Naveed Qamar. The meeting also featured discussions such as green and blue economies, clean energy, Commonwealth CFAH and Common Sensing initiatives as well as building capacity for youth in trade.
“Last week, I met with Pakistan’s Commerce Minister, Syed Naveed Qamar. The Minister and I discussed the importance of collaboration in advancing the green and blue economies, clean energy, Commonwealth CFAH and Common Sensing initiatives as well as building capacity for youth in trade, “said the CSG.
She said that its wonderful to be back in Trinidad and Tobago. She look forward to productive meetings with Government officials and other stakeholders.
