Bulgarian President Rumen Radev here on Monday signed a decree for the country to hold elections for local authorities on October 29, his press office said in a statement.

“The head of state set the date after a working meeting with representatives of the leadership of the Central Election Commission,” the statement said.

The elections for Bulgaria’s local authorities, including mayors and municipal councilors, are held every four years.
